Ellen Beck Gardner is an authority and consultant on UNIX and Windows NT/2000 operating systems. Her UNIX experience began at NCR Corporation, where she managed technical support services for field locations throughout the United States. She refined her UNIX expertise as a senior vice president at Decathlon Data Systems, Inc., a pioneer in UNIX office automation and groupware applications. Ms. Gardner is the coauthor of Windows NT and UNIX: Administration, Coexistence, Integration, and Migration (Addison-Wesley, 1998) and has written a number of articles with others. In 1997 she contributed to the Microsoft BackOffice Bible.
